The mobile CT scanner has been installed at Colin Campbell Court, Plymouth

The first patients have used a mobile CT scanner in Plymouth as part of a bid to relieve hospital pressure.
The facility at Colin Campbell Court is to form part of the city's new community diagnostic centre, which is expected to open in 2025 at the same site.
University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust said the mobile scanner would help bring appointments closer to where people live and reduce cancellations.
CT scans, a vital part of the diagnostic process, involve a series of X-rays allowing radiographers to detect disease.

The scanner will form part of the city's new community diagnostic centre
Colin Stuckey, the trust's lead CT radiographer, said: "The main benefits of the new CT scanner are that it will increase our capacity and take pressure off the main Derriford Hospital site which will result in fewer cancellations.
"The increased appointment availability and location of the scanner will result in a more positive patient experience."
