A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after a woman was stabbed outside a supermarket in Kent.

Emergency services were called to the incident involving several people in Oldfield Place, Dartford, at about 19:10 BST on Sunday.

A woman in her 30s was reportedly assaulted with a bottle and suffered injuries consistent with stab wounds, police said.

A teenage girl was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been bailed, pending further investigation.

Police said the victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and has since been discharged.
