Three men have been arrested after a suspected stolen car was stopped by police.

Officers spotted the vehicle being driven dangerously on Birmingham New Road in Wolverhampton on Tuesday.

Police said the driver had failed to stop for officers and was travelling through red lights at excessive speeds.

The three men, aged 23, 26 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.

The 23-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failure to stop, possessing a knife and having no driving license.

All three men remain in custody.
