Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies

A man in his 60s was taken to hospital where he died on Thursday

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man, in his 60s, died.

Essex Police were called to reports of a serious assault in Willingale Road, Loughton, on Wednesday at about 22:20 BST.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died on Thursday.

A murder investigation was launched and a woman, in her 30s, is in police custody.

Essex Police said it was supporting the man's family and inquiries were ongoing.

The force has urged anyone with any information to come forward.
