A suspect has been charged after reports of sexual assaults in a Nottinghamshire village.

Three women and a teenage girl were reportedly approached by a man at three different locations in East Leake on Tuesday.

A 36-year-old man, from Leicester, was arrested in the village on Wednesday, and has since been charged with four counts of sexual assault, police said.

He was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Police said the suspect was also charged with two motoring offences – failing to provide a specimen of breath and failing to cooperate with a preliminary test.

He has further been charged with an assault in Leicester on April 30.
