M6 closed southbound after fatal crash

A fatal crash on the M6 in the West Midlands forced the closure of the motorway's southbound carriageway.
The collision, shortly before 15:00 BST, involved a lorry and a motorcycle close to junction 10 for Walsall, with the rider confirmed dead at the scene.
The route remained closed southbound, between junctions 11 and 10, for several hours. The M54 was also closed eastbound between J1 and the M6, external, said National Highways.
All lanes were reopened, the agency confirmed shortly after 22:40 BST.
The lorry driver has been helping officers with their inquiries, police added.
