A pop-up bank has opened in a Shropshire town, with a focus on delivering face-to-face services.
The Dudley Building Society-owned bank is based at the Old Fire Station on Shrewsbury Road, Shifnal and will open every Monday from 10:00 to 16:00.
The opening was made possible due to a partnership between Love Shifnal and Shifnal Town Council, with the authority providing the community building at no cost for the first three months.
"What we'll be offering is the ability to open up accounts, account administration, all those types of things," said Simon Dodd, head of retail at Dudley Building Society.
"What we really focus on is the face-to-face element and the people and conversations, and the importance of really good conversations.
"We've really identified that people still have a need to be able to go and speak face-to-face with people about their financial services."
Similar banks have been opened around the county in recent months, including Whitchurch and Bridgnorth.
"This is a great service for local people and a step closer to getting in-person banking back in town," said mayor of Shifnal Paul Williamson.
