Man treated for smoke inhalation after flat fire

The blaze was brought under control by 21:15 BST, the fire service said

Eight fire engines and about 60 firefighters were called after a large fire broke out at a tower block of flats in east London.
The blaze at New Providence Wharf in Poplar started at about 20:47 BST and was under control by 21:15, according to the London Fire Brigade, which received 26 emergency calls alerting them to the incident.
A balcony and part of a 13th floor flat was damaged by fire, the brigade added.
One man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
