Shop staff threatened in armed robberies

Officers want to speak to a man following two armed robberies in Coventry on 2 November

Shop staff were threatened in Coventry during two armed robberies carried out in the space of half an hour.

West Midlands Police has released CCTV imagery as part of its inquiry into events on Saturday.

In the first incident, a man entered a store on Kenpas Highway just after 14:15 GMT and threatened a shop worker before leaving the scene empty-handed, although damage was caused to the premises.

Later, staff were threatened at a petrol station on Fletchamstead Highway where an amount of money was taken, the force confirmed.

Police have issued an image of a man they wish to identify and asked anyone with information to contact the force.
