Six flats can be built at a former Lloyds Bank building after planning permission was granted.

As well as the six flats within the main building in St Martin, Guernsey, a two-person dwelling can be created from a converted garage while two existing flats can be retained.

The plans also included demolishing the existing canopy and raising the roof ridge height.

The proposal, lodged by Poppy Lea Limited, for Le Manoir Bancaire, in Grande Rue, said the building's layout was unsuitable for modern commercial use and residential conversion was the most viable option.
