The pop-up will give out free flu jabs, encouraging locals to 'stay healthy this winter'

A new pop-up winter wellness hub is operating in Hull during October half term in a bid to ease pressures on local hospitals facing a surge in flu cases.
The event, organised by NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), comes after more than 300 people were seriously ill with flu in January.
"It's a stark reminder flu is not just a seasonal inconvenience, it's a serious illness that can put immense pressure on our NHS," said Dr James Crick, clinical director of prevention at ICB.
Offering free children's flu vaccines, health lessons and wellness giveaways - the pop-up will take place at North Point Shopping Centre between 10:00 and 16:00 GMT from Monday to Wednesday this week.
The hub aims to educating local people on where to access support and care if needed.
There is an opportunity to explore the interactive 'Germ Lab', a hands-on experiment designed to promote hand washing and wellness packs filled with seasonal health items will also be given out.
Organised alongside Vaccinations UK, children aged between two and 16 can get their flu vaccine for free at the pop-up.
Dr Crick said: "On 2 January this year, over 300 people were seriously ill with flu in our local hospitals - that's the equivalent of 10 full wards.
"As we head into winter, it's vital that everyone takes simple steps to protect themselves and others.
"Getting your flu vaccine is quick, free for many, and one of the most effective ways to stay well.
"We're encouraging everyone to be winter-ready: keep essential medicines at home, check in on vulnerable neighbours, and make sure you know which local health services to turn to if you start feeling unwell."
