Police are appealing for witnesses after two men stole items from a delivery van in a Derbyshire village.

Officers received reports of a robbery in Carter Lane East, South Normanton, just after 09:00 BST on Wednesday.

The pair - both wearing balaclavas - stole items from the van and threatened a member of the public, Derbyshire Police said.

A photo shared widely on social media, which the BBC has verified as being from Carter Lane East, appears to show parcels having been emptied from a DPD delivery van.

The force said an investigation into the incident was ongoing and they were encouraging people with information to come forward.

DPD has been contacted for comment.
