A cafe run by a Jersey non-profit organisation will close on Saturday after two years.
The Butterfly Cafe in St Helier opened in 2023 to provide a welcoming space for survivors of abuse and raise awareness of its parent organisation's, The Butterfly Effect.
The organisation said the café had been "successful on many fronts" but it needed to shift focus to its "core support services".
A spokesperson for The Butterfly Effect said the closure had been "a difficult decision", but "we know it's the right one".
The Butterfly Effect supports survivors of sexual and institutional abuse and advocates for children in care and care leavers.
It said it had helped more than 900 people since being set up two years ago.
The spokesperson said the organisation's mission was "to provide critical support for those who urgently need it - support that is often difficult to find elsewhere".
The café had provided peer-support groups, training sessions, a helpline, job support, and advocacy services since it opened, the spokesperson said.
However, "growing demand and limited resources" meant it was time to "strengthen the services that matter most".
"We are deeply grateful to all of our customers and the amazing team who helped make the café a success," they added.
