Two teenage girls have been arrested by police investigating a spate of burglaries.

Lancashire Police said the girls, aged 13 and 15, were detained following a break-in at a cafe in Preston.

Officers were called to the Chocolate Rooms on Church Road in Tarleton just before 04:00 GMT on Monday after receiving reports that bricks were being used to smash windows.

The girls were arrested on suspicion of burglary, with police also discovering two other nearby businesses had been targeted, with windows and doors damaged.
