Tributes paid following death of footballer

A non-league football club has paid tribute to a "talented" player who has died suddenly aged 24.
Abingdon United said on Wednesday it was "devastated" to announce the death of Jack Badger.
It said the midfielder's death had "left a profound void in our club and community".
A crowdfunding appeal towards funeral costs and supporting his daughter has raised more than £16,000.
In a statement, the club described Mr Badger as "a character on and off the pitch".
“He will be remembered not only for his skill and dedication on the pitch, but for his kindness and spirit off it.
“Abingdon United will be offering support to all players and members of our community during this incredibly difficult time.
“We encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out – you are never alone.”
The Abingdon United men's first team currently play in Division One of the uhlsport Hellenic League.
In a social media post, the league said: "We are heartbroken by the passing of Jack Badger, a talented footballer and cherished member of Abingdon United.
"His passion, dedication, and kindness will never be forgotten."

Mr Badger was an Oxford United fan and the Championship club also passed on its condolences to his family and friends on social media.
Other non-league clubs paid tribute including Letcombe FC, Milton United FC and Ludlow Town.
