More heavy rain has caused flooding across the south of England, forcing roads to be closed and damaging some homes.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for rain was in place for Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Dorset until about 09:00.

Some areas were expected to see up to 40-60mm within six hours, with warnings of difficult driving conditions and disruption to public transport.

The M40 between junction 1 and junction 11, which runs through Oxfordshire and Berkshire, was experiencing a lot of standing water, according to Thames Valley Police (TVP).
