A popular water park has closed one of its slides after parents reported a number of children falling ill after visits.
North Lanarkshire Council said tests for chlorine gas at the Time Capsule in Coatbridge had been satisfactory, but it was closing the Tantrum slide as a precaution to allow further investigation.
Social media posts from parents on Sunday reported children coughing, gagging and feeling sick after swimming there. Some claimed that staff told them they had also felt unwell and been sick throughout the weekend.
The rest of the water park remains open as normal.
One person wrote on social media: "The air was honestly toxic, the staff members were being sick and my son's friend thought he was gonna (sic) be sick in my car."
The parent said their son had then been coughing all night since getting home.
Several other parents responded saying their children had also taken ill - mostly with heavy coughing or feeling sick - while one reported talking to a staff member who had her eyes streaming from coughing so much.
A spokesperson for North Lanarkshire Council said chlorine tests had been carried out.
They said: "While all our chlorine and water tests have been satisfactory, we have closed the Tantrum slide as a precaution until further investigation work is carried out.
"The health and wellbeing of all our customers is our highest priority. The Time Capsule Waterpark remains open."
The water park re-opened in July this year, external, after being closed for four months to allow planned maintenance work to be carried out.
This included work on pumps and blowers for the waterfalls and river rapids at the park.
The Time Capsule suffered a chlorine gas leak in August 2001 that resulted in 48 people being taken to hospital.
