A stabbing suspect has been charged after a man was seriously injured in Nuneaton on Saturday.

Emergency services responded to reports a man had been stabbed on Mendip Drive, at about 11:30 BST.

The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Harly Malinowski, 20, from Nuneaton, was arrested and has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place, Warwickshire Police said.

Mr Malinowski has been remanded in custody and is due before Warwick Crown Court on 12 May.
