Flights between Inverness and Birmingham are to resume after an absence of two-years.

Easyjet are taking on the route, which was previously operated by Loganair.

The new twice-weekly service to the Midlands will operate on Mondays and Fridays from 30 March next year.

Inverness Airport manager Dan Mason said the Birmingham route was one that passengers had consistently said they wanted to see return, adding he was pleased to see that connectivity restored for the Highlands.
