A police officer has been accused of forming a romantic relationship with a complainant in a case he was investigating.

PC Ian Dring, 49, is charged with improper use of police powers in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police said he was initially arrested in May 2023 and is currently suspended from duty.

The officer has been bailed to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 28 October, the force said.
