Warnings for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding have been issued due to strong winds coupled with high tides.

Ronaldsway Met Office said the conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday were expected to see waves bring debris onto exposed areas at high tide.

Inner harbour areas in Douglas, Castletown and Ramsey are also expected to see some flooding at about 01:30 BST on Wednesday.

Yellow weather warnings have been put in place for the duration of the adverse conditions, with the risk of coastal overtopping in place until 15:00 on Wednesday.

Forecasters said flood gates should be deployed in Castletown and Douglas, with some flooding expected on the Quay at Mezeron Corner in Ramsey.
