Car seized and 13 tickets issued at cruise hotspot

Car meets, like this one, were a regular occurrence at the Pleasure Fair Meadow Car Park

Police have confiscated a car and given out 13 tickets since new measures to crack down on anti-social driving were introduced.
A public spaces protection order (PSPO) was brought in to cover the Pleasure Fair Meadow Car Park on 19 July.
Cambridgeshire Police said it had enforced the new regulation "robustly from the outset".
Residents had complained about persistent noise, smoke and odours when unauthorised car cruising and car meets took place.
The PSPO measure means people suspected of anti-social driving offences can be issued with fines of up to £1,000.

Police seized this orange Seat last Friday
On Friday, police seized an orange Seat following what they said was a breach of the order.
The driver was reportedly seen performing burnouts with two other vehicles in the car park at about 17:45 BST the previous evening.
Alison Jones, the Labour cabinet member for housing and communities at Peterborough City Council, said the first month of the PSPO had been a "success" and it had received "positive comments" from residents.
"Hopefully this ongoing work will be noticed by the perpetrators," she said.

The leader of the Liberal Democrat group in Peterborough, Christian Hogg, recently claimed that the PSPO would only provide a temporary solution and called for a city-wide injunction to be put in place to tackle the issue.
The PSPO for the car park is due to remain in place for three years.
There are two other PSPOs in place in Peterborough; covering the city centre and one covering the Millfield, New England, Eastfield and Embankment areas.
