Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a large property in Surrey.

Emergency services arrived at Busbridge Hall in Godalming in the early hours of Saturday.

Surrey Fire & Rescue Service said it received initial reports at 23:52 BST on Friday about a "roof fire".

A spokesperson for the fire service has told residents to "avoid the area and to keep windows and doors shut".

It added eight fire engines, supported by additional appliances from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, helped tackle the blaze.

Three fire engines remained at the scene at about 12:15 and Surrey Fire & Rescue Service said there had been no casualties.
