After two days of build-up, the main stages opened at Glastonbury on Friday as festival-goers got their first full day of music.
Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro and the 1975 were just some of the artists who performed on the Friday of this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Crowds were also treated to a surprise appearance from New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, who performed on the Woodsies stage.

Rock and roll: Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro locked in for an hour-long set on the Pyramid Stage.

The sunset slot: Busta Rhymes performed on The Other Stage on Friday night.

Lorde surprised fans with a secret set at Woodies
Mystery set: A crowd gathered at Woodsies, ahead of a secret gig at 11:30 BST which turned out to be Lorde.

More surprises: There had been speculation that Lewis Capaldi may be the secret 'TBA' performer on the Pyramid Stage - and it turns out the rumours were true!

Joy on stage: Irish musician CMAT, dressed all in blue, performed on the Pyramid Stage on Friday afternoon.

First performances: The main line-up has kicked off and people gathered in front of the stages in creative outfits to watch their favourite acts perform.

Golden glamour: Glass Beams peformed on the West Holts stage, wearing the golden masks they are known for.

Front row: Punters who made it to the front of the crowd at the Pyramid stage waited in the sun for the next act.

Here we go: Wet Leg performed on the Other Stage, cooling off in the breeze of the electric fans.

The clean-up never ends: Litter-pickers regularly tour the enormous festival site to clear rubbish left by festival-goers.

Nap with a view: On day three of the festival, some are getting some much-needed rest on top of the hill overlooking the site.
