Campervans destroyed in fire under flyover

Two campervans abandoned under a flyover have been destroyed in a fire.
The blaze happened underneath the Blaydon Highway flyover in Gateshead on Monday night.
Pictures from the scene show the flames licking the underside of the bridge.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) sent two crews to extinguish the flames and National Highways said the fire had not impacted any of its roads.
TWFRS said it sent crews from Newcastle Central Community Fire Station to tackle the fire which had "consumed two derelict campervans".
"No persons were involved or located in the fires," a spokesperson said.
"Our crews left the scene at 23:10 GMT after extinguishing the fire."

Blaydon Highway carries traffic towards the Metrocentre shopping centre and the Scotswood Bridge over the River Tyne.
It is located close to a railway line and a petrol station.
Northumbria Police attended the fire but said it was not being treated as arson and no investigation was under way.
