Your pictures: Final days of autumn

A vibrant, cloudy sunrise greeted Tynemouth on Tuesday

As we approach the end of meteorological autumn, many of the trees are starting to lose their colourful leaves.

But reds, oranges and yellows could be found all across the north-east of England and Cumbria this week.

On Tuesday in particular, some of us were treated to vibrant red sunrise.

As always appreciated, you have been sending in your photos from across the region and here are some of our favourites.

A large statue of a soldier looking down at the ground with a large gun in one of his hands which rests on the ground. It is made of a brown metal and the light appears to be reflecting off of it, giving it an orangey glow. There are poppies draped around the front of the soldier, which cascade down onto the ground where there are many red rocks. The sea can be seen behind the statue and the sky is blue with wispy clouds.Image source, BBC Weather Watchers/Michael Walker

A lake, Grasmere, with still water. The land across the lake is covered in trees, many with vibrant orange leaves. There is a hill behind it also with earthy tones and it is all reflected on the surface of the water. There are two, slim trees framing the photo on either side.Image source, Brian Watson

Roker Pier which is a long stone walkway into the sea. The lighthouse stands at the end of it with white and brown-looking stripes and is in shadow. There are people walking across the pier. The sea is calm around it but the sky is a bright red and orange colour.Image source, BBC Weather Watchers/Skylark

A side profile of the Angel of the North which is a large brown statue of a man with rectangular wings. The sun is reflecting off of it making the ends of the wings glow. Trees with green and orange leaves can be seen at the base of the statue and a hilly green field can be behind it.Image source, BBC Weather Watchers/Geoff Paul

A small stone cottage sits behind a road and in the middle of a forest. There are narrow, tall trees in front of it and the ground is covered in some orange plant.
