Plans have been submitted to convert part of a Bradford wedding venue into a takeaway restaurant.

The Majestic in Manningham Lane was previously a nightclub and concert venue, going by different names, including Mecca, Maestro's, Pennington's Live and, most recently, the Town and Country Club.

In 2019, the building, a short distance from Bradford City's Valley Parade stadium, became an events and wedding venue after a major refurbishment.

A planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council to change the use of a small section of the Springfield Place side of the building into a hot food takeaway, open from 23:00 to midnight on weekdays, and until 03:00 on Saturdays.

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service a decision on the application is expected next month.
