A man charged in connection with a video suspected of inciting unrest and owning an offensive weapon has pleaded not guilty in court.

Mohammed Adil Aktar, of Washwood Heath in Birmingham, was charged with sending communication threatening death or serious harm and being in possession of an offensive weapon.

The charges came after a video suspected of making threats and encouraging unrest was posted online last weekend.

In a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court, the 24-year-old pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. His trial is expected to start on 23 October.
