A building described as a "magnet for anti-social behaviour" has been demolished.

Nottinghamshire Police said it had received numerous reports of people committing offences at the former Glenbrook Management Centre in Bilborough.

In April, 14 young people were handed warning notices for their actions at the site in Wigman Road, which had included lighting fires and criminal damage.

The force said it hoped the demolition would reduce anti-social behaviour in the area, particularly among younger people.

There have been 406 anti-social behaviour reports over the last 12 months in the Bilborough area, according to police.

The demolition on 17 October followed work between police and Nottingham City Council.

Corall Jenkins, executive member for neighbourhoods, waste and equalities at the city council, said: "Residents have told us how much this derelict site has affected their neighbourhood, and we've worked with partners to take action.

"Demolition will remove an eyesore that has attracted nuisance and risk, and it's a positive step forward for the local community."
