A man remains in hospital with severe injuries following a "serious assault" in a town centre.
The incident took place at 03:10 BST on Saturday outside the Tiki Room on Sussex Street in Rhyl, Denbighshire, North Wales Police said.
The man was transferred to hospital in Stoke where, as of Sunday, he remained in a critical condition.
Another man who was arrested on suspicion of wounding has since been released on conditional bail.
Police, who are appealing for witnesses to the incident, said they were "incredibly grateful" to those who had contacted them already.
"A number of people were socialising in the Tiki Room, and outside nearby the premises, at the time of the incident," said Det Supt Rebecca Hughes.
She said what happened appeared to be an "isolated incident" with no wider threat to the public.
