A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a domestic fire, police said.

The 21-year-old from Camborne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, including arson, and was in custody, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said crews and police were called to a fire at a residential property in St Agnes at about 18:40 GMT on Sunday.

The ground floor of the two-storey property was "well alight" when crews from Perranporth, Tolvaddon and Truro arrived, the service said.

The service said everyone at the property was "accounted for".

A full fire investigation would be carried out on Monday, a service spokesperson added.
