A brewery has been accused of breaching agreements over the waste water it was allowed to empty into the public sewer system, before trying to cover up its wrongdoing.

Vocation Brewery, based in Hebden Bridge, is charged with one count of fraud and nine counts of contravening conditions of consent between 20 February 2022 and 15 June 2023.

At a hearing at Bradford Crown Court on Wednesday, a provisional trial date was set for 1 November 2027.

No plea was entered, although a Vocation spokesperson said the company rejected the claims.
