An event celebrating regional and international sausages returns to Lincoln Castle at the weekend.

The Lincoln Sausage Festival takes place on Saturday between 10:00 BST and 17:00, and will feature family entertainment and cookery demonstrations, as well as stalls.

Event organiser Mark Brewer, from the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, said the festival was more than just a food event and was a "celebration of community, tradition and the incredible talent of our local producers".

The event will also feature a new character from Lincoln's twin town of Neustadt in Germany: Mr Frank Furter, who will be celebrating links between the two cities.

The event, now in its 21st year, will also have sausages available to buy and cook at home.

There will be live music and street entertainers, as well as family-friendly activities, including a circus skills workshop.
