Woman dies in hospital after village crash

A woman has died in hospital following a four-car crash in a Leicestershire village.

Police said the woman, in her 70s, was driving a Mini Cooper that was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf, Ford Fiesta and BMW 3 Series in Stoke Road, Stoke Golding, on Thursday afternoon.

She died in hospital on Monday night.

The Golf driver, a 40-year-old man, was also taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Leicestershire Police said it was keen to speak to anyone who saw the crash or has footage.

This includes the driver of a tractor that was being used to cut a hedge in the area at the time of the crash, which happened at about 14:30 BST.
