Third free paint store opens at county waste site

Councillor Danny Brookes said the scheme had already proved successful in other parts of the county

A paint donation scheme has opened at a waste recycling centre in Lincolnshire.
The store at Tattershall Household Waste Recycling Centre is the third RePaint facility to open in the county in recent months.
To date, Lincolnshire County Council said stores in Louth and Grantham had redistributed more than 4,000 litres of paint, supporting local families and community projects.
Officials said the latest scheme would ensure even more unused paint was not thrown away.
Councillor Danny Brookes, executive member for environment at the county council, said: "We're really pleased to see the community repaint network expanding across Lincolnshire.
"These stores offer a brilliant way for residents to get access to free paint, save money, and do their bit for the environment at the same time."
