Man injured in overnight shooting

A man has been taken to hospital with a bullet wound after two people were fired at, police said.
West Midlands Police said officers were called to Heathfield Road, in the Handsworth area of Birmingham, at about 02:30 BST on Monday.
The force added that a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a leg injury, which was not believed to be life-threatening, while the second man was uninjured.
Officers, who were alerted to the incident by ambulance crews, are now carrying out house-to-house inquiries and retrieving CCTV footage.
