Two men are in hospital after a stabbing in the car park at Chessington World of Adventures.

The Metropolitan Police was called to the adventure park to reports of two injured people at about 14:30 BST on Thursday.

One man was found in the car park with knife wounds and another man was found on a nearby road with "minor injuries", the force said.

A third male was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Appealing for witnesses, the force said it is thought that all the men were known to each other and nobody else was involved.

A spokesperson for Chessington World of Adventures said the "isolated incident" involved three guests.

"The emergency services were immediately alerted and the resort’s fully trained first aid team administered care until ambulance teams arrived," they said.

"We are fully supporting the Metropolitan Police with their investigation."
