A 65-year-old has been arrested after reports of a man making threats to kill people using weapons and acid.

The suspect was detained at a home in the Northfield area of Birmingham on Friday morning, following a call about 01:00 BST reporting verbal threats being made, say police.

A Samurai sword and a crossbow were seized from a property.

The man remains in custody as the investigation continues, with anyone with information about the incident urged to contact West Midlands Police.
