About 80 firefighters have been called to tackle a blaze at a recycling facility in Nottinghamshire.

The fire on Jockey Lane, Elkesley, was reported to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) at about 19:43 BST on Wednesday.

A NFRS spokesperson said eight appliances had been sent to the incident.

They added: "We are likely to be in attendance for a number of hours."

Jockey Lane is closed in both directions while the incident is being dealt with, NFRS said.

Anyone living nearby is advised to keep doors and windows closed.
