A sickness and diarrhoea outbreak has spread to two further parts of Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.

NHS Grampian said at the weekend that three wards had been closed to new admissions, and only essential visitors would be allowed at the Moray hospital.

As well as wards 5, 6, and 7, now ward 8 and the acute medical assessment unit are now closed to new admissions.

An incident management team has been set up to specifically manage the outbreak.

NHS Grampian said: "We continue to see new cases of sickness and diarrhoea among patients and staff at Dr Gray's Hospital."

Only essential visitors are being allowed on site.

This includes parents of child patients, family of patients at the end of life, carers and supporters for those with dementia or learning disabilities, and supporters for pregnancy and childbirth.
