Three people have been seriously injured in a crash between a car and motorhome.
It happened at about 11:00 BST on Sunday near Greenhead, Northumberland, police said.
A black Volvo had driven from the B6318 on to the A69, according to Northumbria Police, when it hit a white and grey Fiat Ducato motorhome at the junction.
Three people from the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Volvo, aged in their 40s, was airlifted to hospital and remained there in a critical but stable condition, police said.
The driver and passenger of the motorhome were checked over at the scene and are helping police with their inquiries.
Part of the road was closed in both directions for more than five hours and an investigation is under way.
