Police patrols are being increased around a bridle path after a man took photos of a woman and then followed her.

Gloucestershire Constabulary received reports of a man being suspicious in Broadwell, near Stow-on-the-Wold, on 13 April around 10:50 BST.

A woman said an unknown man approached her as she walked her dog on the path from Broadwell to Stow.

Police said the man was in the hedge and began to take photos of the woman on his phone when she tried to pass him. He then followed her and she ran to get away.

The bridle path connects Broadwell Hill to 'The Wells' near Well Lane in Stow-on-the-Wold.

The man was described as being aged around 35 to 40, 5ft 9/10ins in height, with dark hair.

He had been wearing all black clothing at the time, including black trainers and a black puffer type jacket.

The local neighbourhood policing team will be conducting extra patrols in the area.

Officers said they would like to hear from anyone who may have been subjected to something similar or who may know who the man is.
