Police cadets celebrate team of the year award win

Members of the cadet group receive their award at a ceremony in London

Warwickshire Police's cadets have been named the cadet team of the year for their work on researching local historic buildings and monuments.
The announcement was made at the Lord Ferrers Awards in London, a ceremony founded in 1993 to recognise outstanding contributions to volunteering in policing.
The cadets were the first in the country to participate in the Heritage Cadet Challenge, Warwickshire Police said. It involved a structured training programme, including learning the use of online archives and developing imaging skills.
Completed over a number of months during both cadet sessions and in their own time, the work contributed to the National Heritage List for England.

The cadets are being recognised for their work on the Heritage Cadet Challenge
"We're incredibly proud of our Warwickshire Police Cadets for winning a prestigious Lord Ferrers Award," said Assistant Chief Constable Claire Armes said:
"This is a fantastic achievement that reflects their hard work, commitment to our community, and dedication to tackling heritage crime."
