Tram services altered ahead of Notts Pride

Tram services are being changed while Notts Pride takes place
- Published
Tram services are being changed and road closures have been announced as the city is set to celebrate Notts Pride.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said there would be no services running between the Royal Centre and Old Market Square, between 11:20 and 14:30 BST on Saturday, "to enable essential road closures" to allow the march to take place.
The Old Market Square and Lace Market tram stops will be closed, with no alternative transport options available.
The Pride march will begin at Lister Gate and end at Sneinton Market.
Regular tram service will resume at all stops from about 14:30.
Trevor Stocker, head of operations and safety at NET, said the Pride march and celebrations were "becoming increasingly popular", leading to the need to revise services.
"We thank the people of Nottingham for their patience this weekend, as these temporary tram stop closures enable us to help make our city safe for the many people who will be visiting us," he added.
