Library closed after tile falls through ceiling

The council said getting the library reopened was an "urgent matter"

A library has been temporarily closed after a tile fell through the ceiling.
Shropshire Council said it was working with the landlord of the building in Wem, to resolve the situation and get it reopened as soon as possible.
It said while the library was closed, a click-and-collect service would operate from the rear of the building.
Fines for overdue books would be suspended, it added, and books could be ordered free of charge from other libraries.
The click-and-collect service would be available from 10:00 to 12:30 GMT Tuesday and Thursday, 14:00-16:00 on Friday and 10:00-12:00 on Saturday.
James Owen, the councillor responsible for leisure, said the building had to be closed for health and safety reasons, but the council was treating the repairs as an "urgent matter".
