Man in his 20s dies after car and lorry crash

Essex Police appealed for any information, witnesses and dash cam footage

A driver in his 20s has died after a crash between a car and a lorry.

Police were called to the A12 northbound carriageway between junction 19 for Boreham and junction 20a at Hatfield Peverel, Essex, at about 02:45 BST on Friday.

The driver of the car died at the scene, Essex Police said.

The road reopened at 12:00 and officers were looking to speak to anyone who saw a Black Kia Picanto being driven in the area immediately prior to the crash.
