A major road has reopened after a serious collision between a lorry and a van.
Northamptonshire Police was called to the incident on the A14's eastbound carriageway - between the junction for the M1 and junction one near Welford - at about 09:00 BST on Wednesday.
Drivers on the A14 eastbound carriageway could not get onto the M1 southbound and the M6 at the Catthorpe interchange.
Both carriageways were closed so the air ambulance could land but were fully reopened at about 16:30.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service attended. Emergency services asked motorists to find alternative routes.
