Two more arrests in Hove kidnap investigation

Three men have been arrested over the kidnapping of a woman in Hove

Two further men have been arrested as part of an investigation into an alleged kidnap in Hove.

Sussex Police said a man asked a woman for directions at the junction of Selborne Road and Church Road before pulling her into the car at about 02:00 BST on 4 August.

She managed to escape and get help after being driven along First Avenue.

A 21-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on Sunday, and on Monday, Sussex Police said another 21-year-old from Brighton, plus a 29-year-old from Hove were arrested the same evening.

All three men are being held on suspicion of kidnap, theft of a vehicle, theft from a vehicle and making off without payment.

The force said the vehicle suspected of being involved in the kidnap was seized on Monday evening.

Supt Petra Lazar said: "We are not seeking any further suspects at this time, though we are still encouraging those with information or any relevant CCTV footage of the incident that could assist this investigation to contact us."
