Christmas market organisers recruiting for 300 jobs

More than 300 new jobs are being created for this year's Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market.
Organisers are looking to recruit people to support the market when it returns to the city centre from 1 November to 24 December.
Full-time and part-time roles ranging from bar staff, to kitchen and catering assistants and salespeople on gift stalls were available, Birmingham City Council said.
The annual Christmas market attracts millions of people throughout the festive period each year. Applications for the new roles are open on the event's official website, with pay starting at £12 per hour.
The hugely popular Christmas market features dozens of stalls and vendors with traditional goods, food, drink and gifts.
Open mic sessions for up-and-coming performers would return to the The Victoria Square bandstand this year.
Choirs from schools and community groups would also feature in the community music programme and German musicians would be performing daily, the council said.
The market has been running continuously since 1997, except for a hiatus in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
A five-year deal securing the tourist attraction's future was signed last year, with the event set to run until at least 2027.
