Buskers will take over Darley Street Market in Bradford later as the venue kicks off a bank holiday weekend of entertainment.
The Buskers Market will see musicians perform in the Courtyard between 11:00 BST and 17:00 BST, and on the Darley Street Kitchen Stage from 14:00 BST to 19:00.
As well as the live music, there will be an arts and crafts market taking place in the courtyard from 10:00 BST to 15:00.
Yorkshire Water staff will also be in the Courtyard, displaying mini rain catchers to educate people about ways to save water as its hosepipe ban continues.
The event will be followed on Sunday by a food, drink and art festival celebrating the first Great Northern Day.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council's deputy leader, said: "It's set to be another fabulous weekend at Darley Street Market with the talented buskers and the arts and craft market bringing another dimension and complementing the wide range of shopping opportunities from our regular traders on Saturday.
"Following on from this on Sunday of the bank holiday we will be hosting the inaugural Great Northern Day - a brand-new annual celebration of the people, places, and culture that define northern communities."
